Connection and caring in a safe place

I help distressed couples and individuals find comfort, security, and peace in the relationship bond with their partner or self.

Couples who are experiencing relational distress feel hurt, disconnected, or stuck. You have been trying to work through issues, but it seems like most discussions end in arguments. No matter how hard you try to express your feelings and reconnect, it seems like you and your partner are lost as sea, unable to find each other.

In fact, you’re not quite sure how you’ve ended up in a place where you feel frustrated, alone, and scared of losing the most important relationship that you have. I know you want to feel connected, known, and loved by your spouse or partner. I can help you find the comfort and security of intimacy again, where you will be able to keep each other afloat and navigate the changing tides of life together.

If you are an individual who is feeling anxious or depressed, it may be difficult to understand why. You may feel isolated, inadequate, helpless, or critical of yourself. Perhaps you are overwhelmed by emotions and push them aside, which brings anxiety. Or maybe you "numb out" because you are afraid you'll be swept away by your emotions, and depression sets in. What you really want is to be able to confide in someone about the pain you carry. I can give you a safe place to deal with your emotions and find your way back to self-acceptance, self-compassion, and self-confidence to benefit yourself and your relationships.

Whether you’re dissatisfied with your relationship with another or yourself, I would love to hear your story and walk alongside you in your journey. There is light on the other side of the stormy sea. We'll find it together.

About Me

I'm Christy, former banker turned counselor when the corporate world left me unfulfilled and restless.

Now, I work with couples, individuals, and families to help anchor them in their place of relational and personal well-being.

I believe in the power of the emotional human experience to bring change and contentment.

Family Walking On the Beach
  • Lover of people

For as long as I can remember, I have had a natural tendency to connect with people in a genuine way.

  • The ocean is my peaceful place

Until recently, I have always lived close to the ocean. It's where I go to relax and replenish my soul.

  • Married with two adult children

I'm a recent empty-nester. As a dedicated dog mom, I spoil my two furry babies while I wait for grandkids.

After over 20 years in the banking industry, I began to feel God's call to something more. My life experience and recognition of the brokenness in our world brought me to pursue mental health counseling later in life.

In addition to my formal education and training, my approach is seasoned by who I am as a "wounded healer" and founded by my Christian worldview.

I have a passion to journey with my clients as they pursue hope and authenticity with God, themselves, and others.

"I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgement; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship."
